| Big things have been happening this past week. In one week Kris got a promotion at Pioneer , we finally got a 2nd car, and we found a new rental. Kris will now be supervising a crew in the feild doing sampling of the baby corn plants and then organizing data and stuff like that. It will be such a blessing financially. Having a second car (98 Jeep Wrangler) is also awesome. I feel I have my freedom back and it will be fun to drive on the beach finally. I think Kris has something set up for this weekend to brake in our 4x4. Our set move in date is going to be April15th. I looking forward to the space. We have been living in very tight quarters the past 10 months. It will be nice to have 3 bedrooms and a big fenced backyard. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways... Things have been crazy busy lately. We question why God has to do everything we have been praying about for a year in 1 week. He can be so strange. We are thankful for all the resent blessings.

| It seems like Christmas came and went quickly for us. This year it was hard to get into the Christmas spirit. We were missing family and friends and The weather was hot! It is a little colder around 75-80 instead of 80-90 but still just doesn't cut it for the "change of weather winters" we have always experienced in California. The kids loved decorating our Hawaiian Christmas tree. We decided not to get the regular "mainland" christmas trees from Home depot and opted for a noble fur tree which is kind of like a noble and palm tree mix. Really cute and very tropical!!!!!!!!!!! We started out putting the presents under the tree as they arrived from fam and friends but then everytime we looked the other way Koa had snuck under the tree and was trying to open one of the presents. So after much frustration we decided to put them all up, "out of sight out of mind" right? No just questions everyday "Is it Christmas today?"
We ended up having a wonderful Christmas day, lounging around the house and the kids loved riding their bikes out front. We also had a great New Year's. We went camping at Anini beach which has crystal blue water and is really calm water so the kids can play in it. We had fun doing fireworks on the beach and Koa got to hold his first sparkler.
A quick update on the family: Kris is doing well at Pioneer and loving the big winter surf. He still wants to start kiteboarding more but hasn't gotten a board yet.
Jen is doing well and having a blast with the kids. We have been investigating new beaches and fun things to do around the island. We also have been meeting a lot of other mom's and kids that we have been having fun with too.
Berean is still full of spunk and typical first born behavior. She loves doing pre school at home with mommy and teaching brother all the fun and interesting things she's learned.
Koa is pretty much fully potty trained now and we are so stoked!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!! Finally no more diapers!!!!! I never thought this day would come. He loves riding his new tricycle and his new Cars movie he got for Christmas. He's also talking a lot more, with new words everyday.
Hope all of you (our friends and family), had a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of our savior. He truely is so great and faithful.

| Well, we are still here in kauai and it's been about 4 months now. We are loving the sunshine and beaches and are making lots of new friends. We have been on the hunt for jobs hot n heavy the past months and it's been very disscouraging until now. I (Jen) am going to be working a few nights a week for starbuck's and Kris starts on Sunday a new job with TSA (airport security). He is still looking into some better jobs right now and has a few interviews set up for next week. We are loving the church we have been going to here. It's really laid back, fun and has lots of young families. We feel we can fitt in well there. Last week we did a kid's week at church and I volunteered. It was a blast! We had about 70 kids and did fun games, activities, bible stories ext. with them. I also went to a women's retreat this past weekend that was awesome. I roomed with 3 other mom's of young kids. We are starting to feel more at home here. The kids are doing great!!!! Koa is talking so much. His favorite word right now is spidaman! Berean is getting so big, she will be 4 in just a few weeks. Life is good. | | |
| We have been here now for close to 2 months and we are loving it. We are still looking for a job for Kris. It seems that all the jobs here take forever to complete the hireing process. From apptitude test to medical exams, you name it. Hopefully by the end of next week Kris can start substitute teaching and then hopefully the next week he can start the job with TSA (airport screening stuff). Right now some family is visiting and it has been fun hanging out with them. It keeps our minds off of the stress. | | |
| We are now here in Kauai, Hawaii, and loving the clean air and sunshine and beaches and................... everything! Although we love it here so much we have been working hard at job hunting for Kris and getting our life started here, finding a place to live and bank accounts, and licenses and all that good stuff. Keep praying that we will find a job soon. | | |
